On the left hand margin of the painting there is an imaginary image of people who were living in Poland and Russia, departing for Scotland. We then see a list of places and dates of the main Jewish communities that were established in Scotland. The remainder of the margin is filled with separate images showing how the Glaswegian Jewish community established themselves and linked with British society.
