Leeds Past to Present

The story follows the Jews arriving from Eastern Europe to escape the pogroms to present day, where they have largely settled in Moortown and Alwoodley in Leeds. The central theme of this painting is the significance of the Old Chapel Town Synagogue which has now become The Northern School of Contemporary Dance. The interesting and thought-provoking journey of the Jewish establishment runs along either side of this painting.
